Meet the Band...
Scott Sellen
Scott Sellen was born and raised in South Jersey near Philly. His early musical influences include the singing cowboys of the 50’s (Gene, Roy, Sons Of The Pioneers); folk music around 1960; rock and roll radio of the 50’s and 60’s; the British Invasion; Motown and Stax; Folk rock and country rock of 1960’s Southern Cal; the Sound of Philadelphia; And of course Brian Wilson.
Scott played guitar in a blue-eyed soul band in his high school days called the Park Ave. Shoppe. During college he played in jazz ensemble and folk rock clubs in N.Y. City. Later he joined a very eclectic band full of excellent players that were “all Jersey” called the B. B. Jackson Band.
Scott is married to Carolyn and they have one son, Aaron. His other passions include hockey and cooking Italian food. Scott has worked with Richie in music and ministry since 1983.
Jesse Furay Lynch
Jesse Furay Lynch, youngest daughter of rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay, grew up in the Rocky Mountains just west of Boulder Colorado. Growing up around country-rock royalty Jesse has always had her pappa’s love for singing.
Following in her father’s footsteps Jesse left college early to find her way in New York City. She enrolled in the American Musical Dramatic Academy and studied voice. After several years of working in musical theatre, doing summer stock and national tours in children’s theatre, she realized that her passion was not in theatre. After recording on I am Sure with her father she and her husband Tom moved to Denver where they currently reside.
She has performed and recorded with the likes of Emmy Lou Harris, Stephen Stills, Jim Messina, Kenny Loggins, Timothy B. Schmit, Neil Young, Linda Rondstadt, America, Little Feet, Chris Hillman, Herb Peterson and Poco.
AIan Lemke
Alan Lemke grew up in Barstow, California listening to rock and roll. Like a lot of drummers, he played along with Ringo, and The Beatles. He loves 60’s rock and roll, especially the California country rock sound, so the chance to play with Richie is a great thrill for him.
Don’t let his mild manner fool you. He has a steady, yet aggressive approach to drumming, but also brings a creative feel and touch. Some of his influences include: Ringo Starr, Hal Blaine, Dewey Martin, George Grantham, John Bonham, Russ Kunkel, Vinnie Colaiuta, Kenny Aronoff, Manu Katche, and Dennis Holt.
Alan wishes to thank his beautiful wife, Shanna, and three kids, Abbey, Josh, and Owen for their love and support.
Aaron Sellen
Aaron Sellen grew up in Colorado in a very musical household. He was an atypical teenager who listened to music like The Band, Little Feat, Cap’n Geech & The Shrimp Shack Shooters, and Poco. After entering college, his passion became more obvious and he decided to pursue music. After two years of playing any instrument he could get his hands on, Richie invited him to become his bass player.
After years of touring with Richie, Aaron has compiled an exceptional resume of musicians he has performed with. Inspired by his father, Scott, this young multi-instrumentalist is currently performing and songwriting.
Aaron is married to the one and only Mandy Marie Sellen and wants to thank her for all of her love, patience, and support.
